Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

With everyone around me excited about the new year, I couldn’t seem to reciprocate the same excitement. I wasn’t that ecstatic nor energetic, shockingly so about new year, who else would be excited? If they know that they will spend ten zombie hours in the hospital. Unfortunately, I celebrated my new year at the hospital but in the brighter side, I thought, I will be hard working through out the year (I wish, I am such a lazy devil, good luck to me on that). With nothing to do, I decided to write my own new year’s resolution. I guess this will help me avoid bumps and obstacles along the way and make this year a more convenient journey. Drum rolls please.

1. Be DECISIVE for the love of Heaven and Hell

I was the most fickle minded person that had ever lived on the face of the earth last year. Maybe this is my kind of coping because I couldn’t seem to know what I really want to do in my life. One concrete example was when I was supposed to take the NMAT (National Medical Admission Test) last December 4 in Manila. Everything was ironed out perfectly from plane tickets, accommodation and examination slot.

The only thing left to do was for me to invest some of my humanly effort but then sad to say, I was of no avail. I wasn’t ready. I couldn’t say that I wasn’t ready for the test because I also allocated ample time in reviewing. Basically, I wasn’t ready in general. I am not sure if I wanted to be a doctor or I just plainly gave up being exploited as a nurse in my country. I hope I could minimize my indecisiveness.

2. Don’t go GAGA over LOVE

Last year wasn’t a good year for me. It started bad then went to worst. I thought I would lose my sanity because I couldn’t imagine myself without my girlfriend. I thought we are actually going to break up for good like seriously break up, part ways, and never speak to each other again. I guess all is well now. Please no more stressful events for me.

3. GREEN is HEALTHY

I am not really a fan of eating vegetables because I am not a cow in the first place. However, once you get older, you would do things that you normally don’t do like being a cow. I would want to eat more vegetables this year and be healthy. I am kind of concerned about my health lately. Besides, I would want to feel great and look great this year. Let’s go moo on that.

4. Run Run Run is FUN

It is nice to engage yourself in doing physical labor. I mean running could sometimes be an excruciating physical labor in a sense . However, I want to shake off all the lazy vibes in me and start running this year.

5. SMILE and Make More Friends

Smiling is self – explanatory. I just want to smile all through out the year and make more friends. I hope I won’t be perceived as an insane person though…

6. Walk in the Righteous Path

I don’t consider myself as a religious person but I do believe to a higher being up in heaven looking after us. For this year, I want to live my life in his own will. I know that I am currently confused about my career path but I cast all my anxieties to him.

I think this is all for now. I will update soon if I have something to add. Anyways, Happy New Year Everyone! (Belated)

I'm currently working in intensive care, where I handle most cases of post liver transplants and liver disease. Other than that, I like hanging out at the library, just being a total nerd all the time.
