Circumstance, winner of the 2011 Sundance Audience Award, is directed by Iranian – American writer and director Maryam Keshavarz. It follows a story of two spirited young women Atafeh (Nikohl Boosheri) and Shireen (Sarah Kazemy) in their struggle of breaking free from a repressive society that doesn’t approve of homosexuality.
